Fab 'n' Funky Challenge

Good Morning,

I am late posting my DT card for the Fab'n'Funky Challenge this week as we have been having some internet problems over the past few days, but hopefully it is now sorted. So onto this week's challenge which is a photo inspiration:

For my card I have used a LOTV image, coloured with Copics, the papers are by Bo Bunny and a free one from "Making Cards" Magazine, the flowers are from Wild Orchid, sentiment ticket from Paper Cupcakes, ribbon and leaf from my stash.

Good Morning, it's Monday so time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations, this week the challenge is "Seeing Double" so we want to see you using your image more than once. For my card I have chosen an image and papers from the "Passion for Fashion" CD, I just love these 1930's/1940's fashions they are just so elegant. The flowers and seam binding are from Wild Orchid and I added a computer generated sentiment and some pearls. Sorry the photo is not very clear but because of the colours it just didn't seem to photograph well, it does look so much better in real life.

A DT card today for our challenge at Fab 'n' Funky where we have a Bingo challenge. This week we are being sponsored by Pink Cat Studio and Crafts U Print. For my Bingo line I chose 2 Papers, Lace and Butterfly, the papers were from my stash (don't know who they are made by - sorry) and the butterfly was a Cheery Lynn die to which I added a little Stickles. The sentiment is a Pink Cat Studio digi I added a little colour with Copics cut out with a Nestie and threaded a ribbon through.

Good Morning from a cold and frosty Lancashire, the weather has certainly taken a turn for the colder these last few days, still it is infinitely better than the rain of the last few weeks.

Tuesday today so time for another challenge at My Time to Craft where our challenge this week is "Use your favourite embellishment". My card is going to be for my fifth granddaughter Heidi who will be five on Friday. I have used a new digi I purchased last week from Krista Smith at "Saturated Canary" , I have coloured her with Copics and punched two corners of the image, the bp are by "Prima" and "First Edition". For my favourite embellishment I have added flowers from "Wild Orchid" I have also added lace, ribbon and a sentiment from Cuddly Buddly.

Well here we are Monday morning I hope you have all had a good weekend. The card I have for you today is my first DT card for the challenge at Ooh La La. Our challenge this week is "New Beginnings" (New Home, New Baby etc.) for my "New Beginnings" I chose a Wedding Day card. My image and bp are from the OLL CD "Passion for Fashion" to this I added some lace, pearls, charm, doily, and ribbon from my stash, a heart punched with a Martha Stewart punch and flowers from Wild Orchid. Hope everyone is having a good weekend, we have snow here today but I haven't needed to go out so been able to do some crafting. I have two more cards for my granddaughters today that's the last of them done now.

My first card has the image "Little Holly" from LOTV coloured with Copics, the papers are from my stash and Bo Bunny and I added some faux stitching. I finished the card with some pearls, lace, ribbon and computer generated sentiment.

The second card has another LOTV image - "Little Ivy" again coloured with Copics, the papers were free from Making Cards Magazine. I added a swirl and corner cut on the Cuttlebug with a Marianne die and a Quickutz die, and finished with a computer generated sentiment adhesive stones and a ribbon.

Good Afternoon, not had much time for posting and crafting this last week, I have been to see my granddaughter's in their Christmas plays, Advent Services etc, all were enjoyable and it was lovely to see them all doing their different performances and singing. Emma (6) was a narrator in her Nativity play and read really well, Jude (10) sang a duet at her Advent Service and sang beautifully, Abbie (10) played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and peformed beautifully, they all brought tears to my eyes and I was so proud of each and every one.

I am now on the last lap with my cards, just a few special ones left so today I am showing you another two for my granddaughters.

Vintage Christmas

Good Morning, hope the weather is fine with you we have had some snow over the past couple of days but it hasn't lasted too long though the temperature seems to have dropped dramatically this week. I have a busy week with three different granddaughter's Christmas plays to attend, but each one will be enjoyable. Well onto my card for today which is for our challenge at "My Time to Craft" which is Vintage Christmas, the image I used is from a Graphic 45 Scrapbook paper and I added some Stickles. The bp is by Bo Bunny and I added some gingham ribbon and some holly from Prima.

I have a card today for the challenge at Cutie Pie which is "Pastel Christmas". I decided on pink for a change and thought it would be suitable for one of my granddaughters this Christmas, though I have yet to decide which granddaughter! My image is one of the new LOTV stamps - Summer "Icy Angel" I have coloured her with Copics and added some Stickles on her wings, I cut her out with a Nestie and added a silver doily behind. The bp is by Bo Bunny and the music is another LOTV stamp which I have stamped onto a scrap from my stash and both papers have been distressed. The border is cut with another of the gorgeous new Memory Box dies and I added some cotton lace with brads to this. The silver corner is cut with a Cuttlebug die and I added pearls, snowflake charm and a computer generated sentiment.

Good Afternoon, I've had a busy weekend as my two eldest granddaughters have been to stay, so no time for blogging but hope to have a look around once I have posted this card made a few days ago. Good Afternoon, its been a beautiful day here in Lancashire, blue skies and plenty of sunshine though it is going a little misty now as the sun sets. I have been busy colouring some images for my Christmas cards and thought I would colour this one as it seems just right for the challenge at Crafty Hazelnuts this week which is "Whatever Lights your Candle". The image is a House Mouse stamp that I have had for years, I coloured with Copics and edged the image and the papers with Distress Ink - Walnut Stain before matting onto kraft paper. The bp is from a pad by cArt-Us and the other papers are from the Lost & Found pad by My Mind's Eye, the sentiment is by LOTV and cut with Nesties, the roses and gold berries are from Wild Orchid. I have a card to show you today made for my youngest granddaughter Lauren who was three last Sunday. The photo's were taken at her party, she loves the Wizard of Oz and was dressed as Dorothy, she didn't want her photograph taken with the other girls so you can see her in her dress and shoes and the last photo is of my five other granddaughters but as usual you can't get them all to look at the camera and smile they just think its a big joke.

Well back to the card, the image is again a Lili of the Valley and coloured with Copics, the papers are by Magnolia and from my stash, sentiment is by Nina of Paper Cupcakes, I added a bow, a couple of small flowers and No 3 cut with a die on the Cuttlebug.

The challenge this week at Lili of the Valley is "Bright and Sparkly", I decided to colour this LOTV image "Millie Winter Window" as I have had it a few weeks and not yet used it, I coloured with Copics and added some Stardust Stickles to the snowflakes and holly leaves, and some Liquid Pearls on the berries. The papers are Papermania and Memory Box layered onto Kraft paper and I also added a square doily to the layering. The sentiment is also by LOTV, the roses and gold berries are from Wild Orchid and I added some gold Stickles to the sentiment and roses, the leaves were made using a Leone Em punch. I have been busy trying to make some headway into my Christmas cards over the past few days and today I would like to share this one with you. I have used another of the Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps - "Twinkling Star" and I think she is so cute, I have coloured as usual with Copics and added some Stickles. The papers are from the Lost and Found Christmas pad by My Mind's Eye, layered onto Kraft paper, and I did a little machine stitching around these, the gorgeous flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts and I added a little gold Stickles around this and the sentiment which is also from LOTV and cut out with Nesties.

I have a GD card today made for the challenge at Gingerloft where I was asked to be a Guest Designer this week after coming in the Top 3 a couple of weeks ago. My image is a Gingerloft digi image coloured with Copics, I also printed a larger copy and cut one of the pumpkins out to use in the corner. I didn't have any Halloween bp so I used a piece of purple paper stamped a few dots and added some confetti bats, I cut two larger bats out of black paper and added some eyes. I finished with a computer generated sentiment and a skull and crossbone charm.

Last Saturday I had a fantastic day out at the Lili of the Valley Colouring Masterclass, we were shown colouring techniques with Copics and Prismacolour pencils by Bev and Jacqui, I have tried today to use these techniques in the colouring of this image by LOTV. I have made this card for the challenge at LOTV which this week is BINGO I chose to follow the row, gems, flowers, ribbon and lace. As I said my image is by LOTV and coloured with Copics, I used Stickles on the fur and for some of the snowflakes to which I also added some adhesive gems. The bp is by Bo Bunny - I bought this last year and have never used it before, the Poinsettia is cut with a Marianne die and I added some Twinklets and a white pearl. The sentiment is from Crafters Companion and I finished with a ribbon bow and some lace.

The image I have used is a digi I chose when I came in the Top 3 at Bugaboo a few weeks ago I thought it might come in handy as I don't have many Halloween images, but she is so cute. It's Tuesday, it's time for another challenge at My Time to Craft, our challenge this week is Kaleidoscope of Colour. My card has been made primarily for my eldest granddaughter's birthday which is on Thursday when she will be 12, she loves singing hence the choice of my image which I recently won in a challenge at Crafty Sentiments. I coloured my image with Copics and edged around with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink, I also used this colour with Rusty Hinge and Barn Door on the music which is a stamp by LOTV. Good Morning, We are still on holiday for a couple more days and my Granddaughter Abbie aged 10 wanted us to make some cards, we only have a limited supply of craft items with us and decided we could make Christmas cards for the challenge at "Bah Humbug" which is to feature a girl on your card. Abbie's card is the first one for which she used a Hanglar image and coloured it with Promarkers, she cut some holly from a piece of Memory Box paper added this and a Christmas Greeting which doesn't show up very well on the photo.

My card was made using a Tilda image coloured with Promarkers, paper by Kaisercraft, flowers, gold thread and a Christmas greeting.

So wet here today, looks more like November than August, only difference being it is a lot warmer. As the weather is so bad and no chance of getting out today decided to make a card for the challenge at Bah Humbug! must admit I wasn't sure what to do for "White on White" but in the end quite enjoyed making this card and was pleased with the result, though the photo is not too good. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the star sides, Cuttlebug embossing folders for the background and the tree, which was cut with a Marianne die. The snowflake was cut with a Nesties and I added some Twinklets to this, I finished with some white pearls, white ribbon and the sentiment is an Anna Griffin stamp.

Good Morning! Very warm day here though not so much sunshine as yesterday when I sat making this card for the challenge at Bah Humbug! the challenge this week is to use lace. The image I used is a cute new stamp from Sugar Nellie I coloured with Copics and added some Polar White Flower Soft and Stardust Stickles. Good Morning, feels like winter is back here in the North West its very windy and showery so different to the lovely week we had away in Suffolk last week. Well onto my DT card today for the challenge at My Time to Craft where the challenge this week is to use a die cut. For my image I used one of the new mini Tilda's they are so cute, I coloured her with Copics and cut her out with Nesties mounted this onto a tag cut with a new Marianne die. The papers were all from a Prima pad - Fairy Flora and I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distressing tool. I also cut the hearts with a Marianne die, added ribbon, hessian, flowers, pearls and a computer generated sentiment.

I used a Hanglar image, coloured with Copics, edged with Distress Inks, Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet. The papers were free from "Making Cards" and from my stash, I punched a heart with a Martha Stewart punch and cut the leafy swirls with a Marianne die on my Cuttlebug. I used a 6" shaped card, the paper is a free one from Making Cards magazine and I cut is to the same shape as the card. My card today for The Crafty Pad is my last one as a DT member, at the moment I have so many things coming up in the next few months that I just don't seem to be able to get on with making cards. Good Morning, nice dry, sunny and pleasant day outside but I am feeling sorry for myself as I am full of a cold, not had one all winter and when spring is almost here I get this one. Well onto my DT card today for the challenge at The Crafty Pad which is to use a ribbon. Our sponsor today is:

and the DT were each given two pieces of American Seam Binding Ribbon, by Crafty Ribbons, to use on their project. This can be used as Modern - just use as it is, or Vintage - spray with a little water until moist, scrunch up and leave to dry. For the modern part I wrapped one colour around the other to make a striped effect, then I scrunched some pieces and when dry ran a little line of thread through and made into three flowers. The image and sentiment used on my card are by Debbie of The Crafty Pad which I coloured with Copics, the papers are by Prima and K & Co, and the border was cut using a new Martha Stewart border punch. Another beautiful day here, gorgeous blue sky and sunshine and here I am posting a Christmas card for the challenge at Bah Humbug which this week is "Things that Fly".
