Poppies

The weather has changed a little here today after a week with some beautiful weather we now have a showery day with quite a breeze too but I have a card to share with you today made for Brenda's Poppies Challenge on her blog Floral Fantasies, you can make anything to do with Poppies,.  I decided to use my much neglected Poppy stamp from Crafty Individuals,  the background paper is from C M Weiland Printery Collection, I coloured it with Distress Inks Fired Brick and Barn Door after distressing the edges with a Tim Holtz tool.  I added a doily edged with the same ink and finished with a ribbon and metal corner.

  3. Good afternoon Pat

Sharp change in the weather here as well, quite a few showers and heavy ones at that, just been watching the Olympic ladies road race and looked like they had the same weather as well. And with our first medal!

A beautiful poppy card, as you can imagine I love the distressed elements as well and the doily behind the main image really makes those poppies pop into life.

I'm so pleased you found time to join in my little fun challenge, I really do appreciate it and wish you good luck with the draw for the voucher.

  9. This is lovely Pat. A gorgeous poppy image and I like the bp - interesting but not fussy enough to detract from the main image.
